It time for our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive and Fundraiser! For the 6th year, we come together as a community, for the community to help those in need this Thanksgiving.
So many Maricopa families have continued to experience hardships throughout the year and unfortunately things don't ease up just because it is a holiday, in fact things seem to pile up even more. This year, like every year, we expect the needs of the community to grow, and we need your help to meet that need.
It is our hope that providing Blessing Boxes to struggling Maricopa families, they can experience a beautiful holiday meal with family and reflect on things they can be thankful for like community, and the love and care of a stranger. Thank you all so much for your kindness and generosity toward a neighbor
We have so many amazing prizes this year. Purchase tickets for just $10 each and help bring Thanksgiving dinner to a family in our community.
With many thanks to the wonderful people of our community, we will begin distributing Blessing boxes to families on our recipients list on November 21st
REGISTRATION CLOSES 11/10/24
MPH Gives Back is hosting our 5th Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive and Fundraiser November 1-21st. We appreciate every donation toward our goal of providing a complete holiday meal to families in need in our community
With your support, we hope to reach a goal of 60 pastries sold with proceeds to go to MPH Gives Back in support of our 2024 Thanksgiving Food Drive
In 2015, just months after relocating to our new Mesa Arizona home, the entire family was involved in a serious car accident on a busy Arizona highway, while on the way to buy groceries one evening after work. All of the family members suffered injuries in the accident but the most severe was our 3 month old baby, who suffered a head injury and skull fracture. Mom stayed by the babys side at Phoenix Childrens Hospital ICU while dad cared for and comforted the scared children at home. With no vehicle and out of state family members and friends offering support from afar, in the days following the accident, we had to reach out to our new community for help with rides to get groceries and even get to doctors appointments. A kind woman named Becca, contacted us on social media and said she wanted to help by gifting a Thanksgiving meal with all of the sides and extras to ensure we had a nice family holiday. On Thanksgiving day Becca and her family delivered boxes with a full feast and even a little toy for the kids to share. It was such a kind gesture that really helped during a difficult time. The following year, the Webster family all together and healthy, we made our own "Blessing Box" to give away to one family. The tradition continued every year since, until we formed our non profit organization MPH Gives Back, where we now invite our entire community to donate food items used to create Blessing boxes which we distribute to local families in need. We will always remember the kindness shown to us by a stranger, without even asking, just seeing a neighbor going through a difficult time and wanting to be a blessing. We hope to continue this tradition with our friends, family and neighbors, keeping in mind that this is a season to remind us give thanks for our blessings and to always try to be a blessing to others when we can.
